busy busy Sunday

Yikes, what a busy Sunday!

I didn't take my walk with Sierra, she was pretty tired from the night before with all the fireworks keeping her up all hours. I cut the lawn instead. Then Sunday launch with the in-laws, they then took baby for a while. B and I went home and did house clean-up for 3+ hours. Put up UV filter on a big window, cleaned floors, laundry, etc. We even managed to get a game of Carcasone in. Just lots done. What I didn't get done was putting up darkening blinds in baby's room. Got the wrong type of attachments to hang them. Damn. Another trip to Lowes for the right ones.
After baby was home, it was still more work for me. (B went to the grocery store for good measure) Baking cookies and a zucchini bread. First of the season. Finished out the day folding laundry.

Dis'n'dat:

- Last night was the first night in about 5 that I did not have to give Sierra meds for either fireworks or thunderstorms.

- These early drawings of the current U2 stage are pretty cool to check out.

- My efforts to find all the combination of features and price on a netbook is not to be. I have realized that. *sigh*

- I hate walking in to a store not knowing if something is a good deal or not without prep work. What is worse is getting home and finding out it was, incurring another trip to the store. Ugh.

- A new High Adventure Boy Scout camp in WVa of all places. Color me surprised. Two other articles regarding the project- #1, #2.

- I found a fix to my FireFox 3.5 image problem on Flickr. Seems the new version has a new image management profile. I had to go in to the Config and change it from 2 to 0 in the about:config file. Everything looks good now.

- Baltimore's new center Matt Birk fills in for Peter King on SI.com. Cool beans. The non-football comments made me smile.

- Last thing I will ever say about Steve McNair... I think the most telling image I ever had of the guy was from college. He had broke his leg, or something in his last game, a championship I believe. He would take the snap in shotgun, throw, then have his linemen carry him to the next play. Wish I had easy access to YouTube to load up a link. Then again, I might have it entirely wrong.
[editor's note, I did have it all wrong. That was actually Byron Leftwich, Doh]

- Out of all the hobbies, vices, and things to do, I think mine seem pretty tame and worthwild.
